FLIGHT SIMULATOR
Blue Chip Aviation has a SACAA-approved flight simulator that can be used for training. The flight simulator is a computer-based platform with a student as well as an instructor’s station. This enables the instructor to manipulate the scenarios realistically for the student during the session.
One of the greatest advantages of a flight simulator is the saving in cost and time. The flight simulator allows us to expose the student to a multitude of different scenarios in a very short time frame. With this we can technically go anywhere in the world and also practise instrument flight.
The flight simulator can be used for:
- Night rating (50 % of the night rating instrument time can be accumulated on a flight simulator)
- Instrument rating (50% of the instrument rating can be accumulated on a flight simulator)
- Instrument renewal preparations
- Instrument currency
- Both single and multi.
HIRE AND FLY
At Blue Chip Flight School we provide clients with Aircraft HIRE and FLY facilities. This will enable a student or client to hire and fly an aircraft for a certain number of hours.
The aircraft currently available for hire and fly is the C172. The minimum requirement is a Private Pilot Licence which has to be current. You will also have to cover yourself for the excess insurance, which currently amounts to R20-000. This you can insure for each month individually or annually.
